As a sequel to an astonishingly good game, Arkham City manages to do the impossible, delivering a game that improves on every aspect of the original whilst keeping a firm grip on what made it so good in the first place.

As it gets towards the end of the year, there seem to be more things to look forward to. Holidays, presents, and Steam sales are just the predictable ones. But who could have predicted this? One of my personal favourite games of all time, Batman: Arkham City (the sequel to the equally wonderful Arkham Asylum) will be gracing Apple computers everywhere, courtesy of Feral Interactive.

In addition, Mac gamers will also get the best version of the game, “fully loaded with all previously released downloadable content (DLC), including the Harley Quinn’s Revenge pack.”

Arkham City adds more of everything that made its predecessor great, with Rock, Paper Shotgun’s Jim Rossignol calling it “the best superhero game so far”. We’ll have a full review as soon as superhumanly possible, but until  then you can content yourselves with this trailer:
