Finally: Tomb Raider Coming To Mac

The game that everyone was expecting, but never was given official life: Tomb Raider (2013) is coming to Mac OS X:

When a young Lara Croft sets off in search of a lost island, she gets more than she bargained for when shipwrecked on its hostile shores. Lara soon learns that she’ll need to be more than just an enthusiastic adventurer if she’s to uncover the island’s terrible secrets, save her friends and escape with her life.

The gripping story of Lara’s evolution from amateur explorer to battle-hardened survivor will arrive on the Mac later this year in Tomb Raider, the acclaimed series reboot.

This is the reboot of the Tomb Raider series that hit every other platform earlier this year, and that PC Gamer’s Chris Thursten called “visually stunning and meticulously staged, but hindered by limited depth and stifling linearity.”

The port is being handled by (you guessed it) Feral Interactive, so we can be assured of decent performance and quality (but not SteamPlay). Pricing, recommended specs, and the possible inclusion of the much-maligned TressFX hair particle system will be announced at a later date, and we’ll update this post once we know more. In the meantime, here’s a trailer:
