UPDATE: All keys have been taken.
Hey you! You remember Legend of Grimrock, the game that brought back classic dungeon crawling back in April and updated it with new graphics without losing the basic gameplay that made it so appealing, right? The game that Rock, Paper, Shotgun’s John Walker called “a really great game that gripped me from top to bottom”? Well, read on my friend, good times await.
Legend of Grimrock has had a Mac version on the cards for quite some time, and to be honest, I’d kind of given up on ever seeing it grace us. But ’tis the season to crawl dungeons (or something), and our Finnish friends at Almost Human Ltd. have got something of a stocking-filler for you, gentle reader: we have 25 Steam keys for the Mac beta to give away.
The short beta period starts now, via Steam, and will give you access to the full game during the beta period, after which the SteamPlay-enabled game will go on general release (at which point you’ll need to buy the full game if you don’t already have the Windows version to continue playing, as well as take advantage of the considerable Steam Workshop collection of mods and user-created maps).
“I like dungeons, crawling, and Dungeon Crawling. How can I get in on this action?” Simple! Send an email (we promise not to use your email address for any other purpose) to [removed], with your favourite colour of dragon . The first/most interesting 25 emailers will get a key (along with instructions for sending feedback), redeemable on Steam, so you can find out for yourself just how grim that rock is.
Meanwhile, expect a review, very soon.
