Counterstrike 1.6 Strikes Mac
Shortly after it was discovered that there’s a working version of Half-Life for Mac, it’s also been announced (again, most unhelpfully via the Linux forum) that Counterstrike 1.6 is also available for Mac. It’s labelled as a beta for the time being, but hopefully this means that there are plans to fully bring Source to Mac, which could lead to better mod support for Half-Life 2.
In related news, a redditor has posted comprehensive instructions on getting Black Mesa (the fan remake of Half-Life within the Half-Life 2 engine) to run on Macs via Wine.
