Brave the New World (unless you’re in the old world)

Loading...News just reached our carefully planted spies around the globe that Civilization V’s Brave New World expansion is now* available:
The best part about this news for Mac gamers is they won’t have to wait. With a whole lot of blood, sweat and tears (along with a huge amount of support from 2k and Firaxis) this is a simultaneous MAC/PC launch! Brave New World is available for the Mac right now through the Mac App Store and the fine folks over at Steam.
The expansion adds a whole bunch of new stuff, most notably a World Congress, International Trade Routes, a culture victory, and I seem to recall something about archaeological sites, which I’m now unable to dig up any information on, so maybe that’s not a thing any more.
It’s a bit pricey (as was the last one) but the good news is that it includes all the gameplay elements from Gods & Kings (although if you already have Gods & Kings, that probably won’t sound like good news to you).
*Unless of course you live outside of North America, in which case feel free to stick your fingers in your ears and go lalalalalala for two more days, which I believe is the time it takes to be distributed by second-class airmail.
