UPDATE: Everything should be back to normal.
For at least the past hour (perhaps even longer) people have been unable to log into Steam, access the store website, or the Steam Community.
This seems to be in the wake of a growing number of Dota 2 players playing concurrently, with a recorded peak of over 430,000.
